Parent Letter

Dear Parents,

You have to read this letter! After you read this letter you will know what we did this week. First we are learning about the thirteen colonies. We are making maps of the thirteen colonies and putting different land forms we have studied about on the maps. On the 22nd we are going to have a colonial party. Our class will eat colonial food, play colonial games, and make a colonial craft. If you want to help out feel free to contact our teacher. Another thing we have done is made something special in art. It is a present for you so we can’t tell you what it is but we will give you some hints. It is made out of clay, floats in the air, and looks pretty. In conclusion we have had a most exciting week and can’t wait to be home with you over Christmas!

Happy Holidays,

Parent Letter

Dear Parents,

You have to read this letter! This is what we have done this week. To begin with we have started to study about the thirteen colonies. Each of us are learning about a certain colony. Some of these colonies are Virginia, New York, Maryland, South Carolina, North Carolina, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Georgia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Hampshire. We are learning about the land formations that are found in each colony. Next we have been learning about sentence fluency. To write with sentence fluency you need to make sure sentences have different beginnings. You also need to make sure that your writing needs to have short sentences and long sentences. As you can see we have completed a lot of work this week.
