Dear Parents,
Please make sure you read this letter. We have many important pieces of information to share with you. To begin with we started to learn our basic math facts. The types of math facts we are learning are doubles, plus one, and plus zero. We think these facts are easy because we learned them in second grade. This is a review. It is important we study the facts so we can pass our test in a few days. Also we have been learning how to write complete sentences. A complete sentence has a subject noun, verb, period, and capital at the beginning of the sentence. We are going to learn how to add more detail to our sentences later on. Finally we have been learning about lifecycles. The lifecycle our class has been studying is the amazing salmon. Did you know they have a yolk sac when they hatch? As you can see we have had a busy week learning about math facts, sentences, and the lifecycle of a salmon.
Sincerely,
Your Third Grader
PS The Salmon Fest is next Friday.
